Event Details

From executive producer Kevin Hart and based on reporting from New York Magazine, Deepfaking Sam Altman is an award-winning sci-fi comedy documentary, that follows filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough whose inability to reach Sam Altman, results in him building his own version using Altman’s own technology. “Sambot” becomes an AI co-director of the film, one that mirrors Adam’s fears, ambitions, and blind spots. The result is a revealing portrait of our era’s obsession with simulation, power, and the longing for connection in a digital age.

As much a portrait of the Bay Area as it is artificial intelligence, there will be , there will be a QnA with director Adam Bhala Lough following the screning. This is a great community event for those interested in having a conversation about AI as well as supporting independent filmmakers.
