Join Illustoria Magazine for their Issue 28: DESSERTS Release Party. There will be dessert-themed crafts and activities led by Jade Howe, Illustoria issues and subscriptions for sale, and free cupcakes generously donated by Mission Minis.
Illustoria is a print magazine for creative kids and their grownups. The magazine celebrates visual storytelling, makers, and DIY culture through stories, art, comics, interviews, crafts, and activities. This high-quality triannual publication is geared toward readers ages 6–12 and the young at heart. Illustoria is the official publication of the International Alliance of Youth Writing Centers, publishing writing and art by young people alongside accomplished professionals.
Illustoria’s Dessert issue features a bright, scrumptious, and sculptural cover by artist-duo Chiaozza. Inside the magazine, learn how to make cinnamon honey cake, discover forgotten desserts from history (such as the raspberry flummery), go on an upcycling adventure with ice cream makers Salt & Straw, make adorable animal-shaped gingerbread cookies with Isabel Roxas, read a heartwarming tale about rainbow cookies from Raj Tawney, and so much more.
