Dia de los Muertos Altar Walk | Niles

Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 between 3 pm and 9 pm in the Niles Town Plaza, the town will join together in honoring their loved ones that have passed. Each year this beloved event has grown in attendance and appreciation. The tradition continues with locals and friends creating altars, dressing up to meet the dead, sharing stories, food, music, tears and laughter.

A community altar is created by their team and all are invited to add photos (photocopies please), prayers, thoughts, flowers and non valuable mementos. They will send the prayers up during their Closing Ceremony taking place at 7 pm, where again, all attendees are encouraged to participate.

The Niles Altar Walk is a free event. Free to participate, and free to attend. Donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. The overhead expense is minimal, but exists, and thy rely on donations to fund this valuable community event.

Except for the time and date, the complete details for this has not been released yet. We also expect that the event will be the same this year.
