Dia de los Muertos: CCC Heckle Comedy Show

Thursday, October 29, 2020 - 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm | Cost: FREE

The longest running Bay Area virtual Comedy Show.

In the Comedians & Commentary & Cynthia (CCC) Show, each comic perform their best jokes while being interrupted, questioned, and heckled by other comics.

This show commemorates Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. A historically Aztec tradition, this celebration spans November 1st & 2nd and today is celebrated in multiple regions in Mexico and South America. This holiday is a time for families and communities to come together and commemorate the ancestors that have come before. There is music, ofrendas (gifts for the dead), Calavera Catrina (skull) face paintings, and delicious pan de muerto (day of the dead bread). It’s a fun party for dead people.

At the start of this show, we will hold space for lost loved ones. Guests and Comedians are encouraged to bring photos, or words to say to honor those lost.

A portion of the proceeds will go to a local LatinX charity.

_____________

The CCC show is run by Bangou Productions LLC (IG/FB @bangouproductions), a black woman owned business based in San Jose, CA. It is committed to building a community & showcasing underrepresented genders, ethnicities, orientations, ages, abilities, and voices through comedy.

In the past, we donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank, buying 500+ meals for families in need, as well as 1000+ dollars to BLM charities feeding the homeless, fighting for Trans/Intersex prison justice, and defunding the police.
