Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a special Hip Hop for Change event at the Great Northern (formerly Mighty) in SF. On Wednesday, Nov. 2nd with a night of Latin-American music and culture. Get limited $9.99 advance tickets.
Join Los Rakas, whose unique sound bridges cultures from all over the world (and according to MTV, “building a serious reputation for themselves by mixing the rhythms of reggae and Caribbean dancehall with ferocious, bilingual, emcee-devouring microphone skills”) along with Bayonics for their infectious music with a blend of latin, reggae, funk music who merges elements to produce a raw soulful sound as distinct and unique.
Hosted by legendary radio personality Chuy Gomez who will also be selecting the tunes, alongside the lovely Cuban DJ Leydis for a diverse mix of latin music, reggae, hip hop and house.
