This month Balboa Theatre will have a very special edition of Rewind Wednesday on a Tuesday: Election Day to be exact. It’s time to get out and vote and you’ll be rewarded for voting by letting you into this movie for free.
Because if there’s one thing Americans truly love, it’s free things. So show your “I Voted” sticker and walk on in. If you haven’t seen this 1999 classic, Dick, you’re in for a treat. It’s a gem from start to finish.
Betsy (Kirsten Dunst) and Arlene (Michelle Williams) are two 15-year-old girls in 1976. When Betsy visits Arlene at the Watergate Motel, the two accidentally stumble into the middle of the infamous Watergate robbery. In order to keep them quiet, Nixon (Dan Hedaya) appoints them as honorary dog walkers.
As they travel in and out of the White House, their seemingly innocent actions start a chain of events that may eventually lead to Nixon’s resignation as President of the United States.
