Event Details

Bring your burning (preferably sciencey) question, the one that keeps you up at night, and get that itch scratch by the absurdly vast intellect of Dr. Hal Robins.

The ASK DR. HAL show is purely improvisational and dependent on the curiosity of audience members. It’s one of those only-in-San Francisco literary/geeky events.

HOW IT WORKS: You to write down your question and put it in an envelope. The host of the evening, the one and only Chicken John (who once ran for Mayor of San Francisco), rummages through the entries, tossing the insipid queries about your snoring roommate and attempting to stump Dr. Hal with the real stuff.

THIS IS THE LAST SHOW FOR A WHILEA word from Dr. Hal himself :

A DH TO GO DARK FOR (ROUGHLY) A MONTH OR TWO. SHOW SET TO RESUME IN EARLY SPRING.

This is the last Ask Dr. Hal! of the month of January. Dr. Hal himself leaves for New York on the 18th, to return the 28th. Chicken John will soon travel to Costa Rica, during the month of February. We expect to resume our show when these journeys have concluded; in the meantime, come to our final performance of this sequence, on Friday, January 14th. We’ll be pulling out all the stops!
