Event Details

Curran is teaming up with RADAR Productions to present a special history-themed Drag Queen Story Hour.

In celebration of Taylor Mac’s a 24-Decade History Of Popular Music, join them at the SF Public Library Main Branch for an afternoon of story telling, face painting, and more.

Hosted by Per Sia from Drag Queen Story Hour and featuring a Taylor Mac-inspired band of “Dandy Minions” and merrymakers – they’ll celebrate the pride of the city with kids of all ages.

There’s no word to describe this experience, other than extravaganza: a dazzling, community-building experience that reflects the nation’s diverse and sometimes dysfunctional story in order to reinvigorate a distinctly American sense of possibility. Starting with the American Revolution and running through to present day, Taylor Mac and his diverse crew of “Dandy Minions” will sing, dance and costume change their way through time.
