“The Body Politic” is the most significant exhibition of Dread Scott’s work to date, bringing together recent projects that explore the structures of power and examine American patriotism. Well-known for an early work that became the center of national controversy over its use of the American flag, Scott works across mediums to challenge viewers to contend with power, politics, and resistance.

YBCA galleries are open Thursday-Sunday from 11 am–5 pm, and Wednesdays 11 am–8 pm with free admission. YBCA is closed on November 11 (Veteran’s Day), November 26- 27 (Thanksgiving), December 24-25 (Winter Break), and January 1 (New Year).
