Get ready for a day of community care, tree planting, and everyone’s favorite new San Francisco trend: the Cake Picnic!
We’re bringing neighbors together to celebrate Earth Day, care for our local park, and enjoy a community cake picnic.

Event Schedule
10:00–11:00 a.m.
Park litter pick-up by volunteers and wildflower seed spreading. Help beautify the space for spring and beyond.
If you plan to volunteer for the cleanup, please register here so Parks & Rec knows how many supplies to provide.
11:00–11:30 a.m.
Tree planting ceremony and brief remarks from city and community leaders.
11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Cake Picnic — Inspired by the viral cake gatherings across SF, we’re inviting everyone to bring a cake (please label for all allergens), a blanket, paper plates, and utensils for yourself and enjoy free cake in the park. Come for the community, stay for the sugar.
