Event Details

Since the first Earth Day in 1970, we’ve become a little wiser about our impact on the planet, taking steps to replete our Ozone layer, for example.

Every little actions counts, which is why you should spend Earth Day cleaning up your neighborhood.

Come out and volunteer at Dolores Park’s Earth Day Celebration and Community Clean Up.
Meet on the lawn behind the tennis courts.

  • 10 am to noon — collect trash & debris with others in the community
  • noon to 1 pmFree bagged lunch for volunteers provided by local merchants
  • 1 pm to 2 pm — Guerilla Gifting: distribute free green DPW-branded recycled bags to picknickers to remind them to clean up after themselves.

Look out: The organizers also promise VIP guests and other surprises.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
