Arrive any time and give some love to the earth through a cleanup organized by the National Park Service, then join in for collaborative sand art-making!
Beach Cleanup: 12pm – 4pm
Collaborative Sand Art-Making: 2pm – 5pm
Sand art-making will be facilitated by socially engaged environmental artist Zach Pine, who hosted the past annual Restore and Create: Earth Day Celebration on Stinson Beach for 15 years.
Collaborative sand art-making will include making, creating with, and playing with sand globes and beach propellers, and more. See the website for examples.
Accessibility: The gathering offers opportunities for everyone to participate and join in however they wish. See the GGNRA Accessibility Guide for more info including free (non-motorized) beach wheelchair reservations: https://www.nps.gov/goga/planyourvisit/stinson-beach-accessibility.htm
Meet near the central restrooms, not the end of the beach. Consider carpooling or public transport (Marin Transit).
