Event Details

Had your fill of Easter eggs? Then come join for a spring wildflower hunt on Mount Diablo. Mitchell Canyon is a Bay Area floral hotspot, and find some rare and not-so-rare spring bloomers as you hike.

Share stories of early botanical pioneers, explain how the flowers come to be named, and describe Native American uses of local flowering plants. Don’t be surprised if you spot some native (Easter) bunnies along the trail.
