Event Details

First Summer is a dreamy debut novel by Ekin Oklap about the summer love that changes two girls at the edge of adulthood.

The book beautifully captures the innocence and agony of adolescence, along with the exquisite promise of love on the cusp of adulthood—a moment where fantasy remains vivid even as maturity looms. This story of a first summer of love echoes throughout the characters’ lives and will change them forever.
Ekin is the translator for works by Turkish novelist, academic, and Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk.
