Election Results Candlelight Gathering/Rally | The Castro

A post-election candlelight gathering is scheduled for the day after the election at Castro and Market.

You’re encouraged to bring candles, musical instruments, a poem, an idea, a hug, cookies to share, flowers, a friend, a tear, a message of hope, a rainbow flag.

There is a deep need to join together. We are calling a rally- a Candle Light Gathering -Tonight at Harvey Milk Plaza- Castro/Market at 5:30 PM…

we will gather to share stories of hope, we will gather to gain strength, to find comfort in one another, to be inspired by one another and to remember the power of our community as we join in solidarity. In this joining together, we will look to see who needs support, which communities feel marginalized and afraid. We will encircle them. And when it is right we will talk about how we will form the resistance that empowers our communities to step forth and be heard…We have done this many, many times before…we are resilient and capable. in solidarity with love,
