Direct from Venezuela, enCayapa performs a thoroughly engaging blend of Venezuelan traditional music, jazz and chamber music. The exciting ensemble is comprised of Rodner Padilla (bass), Klever Camero (piano), Jorge Glem (cuatro), Demian Martínez (clarinet), Eddie Cordero (violin), and Leowaldo Aldana (percussion). Also on the program is the Bay Area’s dynamic Venezuelan Music Project, led by Jackie Rago, combines indigenous-Venezuelan, West African and Spanish-European influences.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary season The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for 2010 features 100 events, including classical and jazz concerts, opera, international music events, theater, dance, children and family programs, visual art exhibits, educational programs and cultural events.
