Event Details

Dr. Paula Goldman is the Chief Ethical & Humane Use Officer at Salesforce and a trained anthropologist. Over the last several years, she focused her research on how AI is being implemented in companies of all sizes and all around the world.

The result is her new book, Manage the Machine: How to Harness Human-AI Collaboration at Work. From a local council in the UK to a bank in Singapore, Dr. Goldman explores successes and failures. It all leads to her central case: human judgment is more important than ever, and organizations need to keep their people at the center of their strategies.

This event will start with a fireside chat between Dr. Goldman and Dr. Caroline Simard, dean of Northeastern University in Silicon Valley and researcher of organizational change and equity. Following the discussion will be a reception and book signing.

All event attendees will take home their own copy of Manage the Machine, courtesy of event hosts Northeastern in Silicon Valley and SRI International.

This event is free but you must RSVP!
