SF’s First Annual Hawaiian + AAPI Comedy Festival (March 28-29)

Join us for a one-of-a-kind celebration at the AAPI Comedy Festival, a special event honoring the 1871 birthday of Hawai’i’s Prince Kuhio with an incredible lineup of Hawaiian, Samoan, Tongan, and Asian American comedians. We’re thrilled to host this memorable evening at a SF’s only Black-owned comedy club which aims to showcase and give voice to incredible and diverse talent in the Bay Area .

The Prince Kuhio Celebrationhonors the life and legacy of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaʻole, a beloved Hawaiian royal who played a significant role in the history of Hawaii. Born on March 26, 1871, Prince Kuhiowas known for his advocacy for the rights of Native Hawaiians and his contributions to the Hawaiian community during a time of political and social change.

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

This show takes place at an undiscovered gem of a new Black-owned comedy club with murals, comfy couches, a lush upstairs lounge and THE place to see SF’s rising comics on an intimate stage right before they become famous.
