AlphaBar Social Club: A to Z Bar Exploration | SF

San Francisco Alpha Bar is a year-long pub crawl & social club meeting every other Wednesday night at 8pm.

Each season they start at the top of the alphabet and hit up bars on a bi-weekly basis until they’ve gone to a bar that has started with every letter of the alphabet (A-Z). Their mission is to tour SF, pack some cool bars, and most importantly make some new friends.

Where might you drink?
The bars change each year but expect stops like “A” is for Abbey Tavern, “I” is for Irish Bank (Pictured) “K” is for “Kozy Bar”, “R” is for The Republic and the like. 

When you attend an AlphaBar you will receive your membership card and a hole punch for the week you have attended. The more hole punches you have gives you bragging rights and the chance to win a prize at the end of the season.

There are not any fees to participate, this is not a business or even a non-profit… there may not even be any drink specials. They are just a gang rallying their buddies and their buddies and their buddies’ buddies to get out and about in SF and have a good time.
