2019 Juneteenth Parade & Festival | Fillmore Dist.

The 69th Annual San Francisco Juneteenth Festival is the largest gathering of African-Americans in Northern California. It is a popular event among the more than 440,000 black households in the Bay Area because of its historical significance to the community.

This year’s parade is dedicated to Rachel Townsend, the stalwart leader of San Francisco’s Juneteenth who passed away earlier this year. In her honor the parade has been renamed the Rachel Brooke Townsend San Francisco Juneteenth Parade.

Bring the family and come spend a day celebrating African American culture and community.

Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration among African Americans across the country commemorating the announcement of the end of slavery in the United States.
