Lunar New Year Celebration | SF Botanical Garden

The San Francisco Botanical Garden celebrates Lunar New Year with special performances and hands–on activities in celebration of the Year of the Sheep and the many magnolias from China featured in the garden.

See lion dancers, lively folk dances, tai chi performances with dazzling sword forms, and more. Families can enjoy children’s activities and special Story Times.

The celebration is free. Make sure to check out the beautiful blooming magnolias in the garden as you enjoy the activities.
