Cancelled: Free Malthouse Tour: 22 Admrial Malt-Brewed Beers | Alameda

Every Wednesday through January 14th.

Please be advised that this event has been ended.

Come on Wednesdays (and now, Saturdays and Sundays) for free tours of the malthouse. Learn the story of malt and its foundational role in beer. Discover the connection between farmer, maltster and brewer (or distiller) and find out what makes Admiral’s California-grown, floor-malted barley so special.

The malthouse is housed in a converted 1942 U.S. Navy dry goods warehouse where state of the art equipment and processes are combined with some of the most traditional methods used for centuries to turn raw barley from the field into the backbone of beer.

Tours start at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays and 2 pm on Saturdays/Sundays in the adjacent pub, The Rake. Come early or stay late and explore our ever-changing list of 22 beers all brewed with Admrial Malt.

Come for lunch, dinner or a snack—the pub menu is designed with the same careful sourcing and attention to detail with which makes the malt. Reserve your spot today. Tours are filled on a first come, first served basis and are limited to 20 people.
