Galeria de La Raza presents their new exhibit Mundo Maya 12:12:12: A Celebration of the Mayan Culture & Calendar with works by Latino/Mayan youth in collaboration with artist Roberto Y. Hernandez.
This four day celebration will include an opening reception, a maiz celebration, a ceremony for La Virgen de Guadalupe and a ceremony for the end of the Mayan Calendar. All are free and open to the public.
Opening Reception: Thursday, December 6, 2012 – 6:00 p.m.

Dinastia Torres, all-female mariachi group pay tribute to La Virgen De Guadalupe- End of the Mayan Calendar Ceremonia: Friday, December 21, 2012 – 6:00 p.m.
Attend an Indigenous Mayan ceremony to commemorate the official end of the Mayan calendar.
