Napa Lighted Art Festival 2019 | January 12-20

Napa does Art After Dark. Iconic architecture becomes the painting in this unique lighted art walk. Original artwork created by local and international artists will be installed at approximately 16 locations in Downtown Napa, the Oxbow District and other places within the City of Napa.

2019 Highlights

Lantern Parade
– Friday, January 18, 2019 | 6:30 pm
– Veterans Memorial Park Napa

Everyone can be a part of Art After Dark. This fun-filled people parade will start and finish at Veteran’s Park and weave through the various art installations in downtown Napa. All ages are encouraged to participate and create a lantern. A perfect event for the family, be a part of this community art celebration. No fire is allowed, please use battery operated lights. Night Bloom: Hot Air Balloon Experience
– Saturday, January 12 & 19 | Sunday, January 13 & 20 | 7 pm

Napa Valley’s majestic hot air balloons will be uniquely displayed as part of this year’s Art After Dark experience. Several tethered hot air balloons will light up the sky at Oxbow Commons on both weekends of the festival. You won’t want to miss this stunning light show. Presented by Napa Valley Balloons and Feast it Forward

Musuem of the Moon
– January 12-20, 2019
– CIA at Copia, 500 1st St., Napa
This awe-inspiring art installation will provide guests the rare opportunity to orbit the moon, right in our outdoor amphitheater. Measuring nearly 23-feet in diameter, the illuminated moon features a highly detailed look at the lunar landscape from imagery collected by NASA. The installation is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight, and sound composition created by award-winning composer, Dan Jones.

Constellation Light Sculpture
– January 12-20, 2019
– The Village at Vista Collina Resort
Sit, sip wine and stay awhile in cozy chairs underneath this LED overhead sculpture to marvel in its beauty and to invoke your curiosity. Artist Christopher Schardt is inspiring audiences by transforming a space beyond something that is ordinary into something that sparkles with life. This stunning installation is further enhanced by wine and beer tastings from The Village’s 9 tasting rooms, as well as free shuttle service from downtown Napa.

Free Symposium Series
– January 17-19, 2019
A series of free daytime and evening discussions on various topics including art, light, the technology of projected art, stained glass, and more.

Art After Dark with RAD
– January 12-20, 2019
See all the latest Rail Arts District (RAD) murals at night. Take a short stroll along the Vine Trail between Vallejo Street & Jackson Street to see RAD’s 7 latest murals that glow in the night sky.

Music Downtown
– January 12-20, 2019
– Wednesdays through Saturdays, plus periodic special events

Live music performances will take place throughout the festival, both on the streets and inside downtown Napa’s clubs, tasting rooms and music venues.
