Come see one of the three performances of The Vagina Monologues as you’ve never seen them before. In this East Bay community production, you’re sure to laugh, cry and be inspired.
The Eastbay Vagina Monologues, a non-profit theatre production. All ticket sales benefit the Building Futures Women’s Shelter and The Medea Project: Theatre for Incarcerated Women.
The play – first performed Off-Broadway and in locations around the world by Ms. Ensler – dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement in women’s experiences. It’s a story told through various personal monologues read by a diverse group of women.
The New York Times called “The Vagina Monologues,” probably the most important piece of political theater of the last decade.” V-Day grew out of the play which exploded onto the scene in 1998, breaking taboos about women’s sexuality and shattering silence around violence done to women and girls.
