Exploratorium’s Helix Happy Hour | Peninsula

Part science museum, part retail space, and part community center, the Helix, presented by the Exploratorium, is located in Los Altos and engages with the local community to create programs for all ages.

Every third Friday of the month from 6-8 pm, Helix hosts an adults-only Happy Hour with music, talks, presentations and other fun happenings. Ages 18+ are welcome.

Please note, this event takes place in Los Altos, and although it is presented by Exploratorium it does not take place in the actual museum in SF.

Unfortunately, Helix has now closed.

Is growth always good? The biggest threat to our existence on planet Earth isn’t asteroids— it’s us. Why can’t our population continue to grow? Learn about the exponential function and the conclusions we can draw from it from Exploratorium staff scientist Ron Hipschman.

How much can a Gummy bear drink? Join Exploratorium staff teacher and math enthusiast, Lori Lambertson, to find out how much liquid a gummy bear will absorb. They’ll make “Gummy Shooters” while exploring the growth of the bears in different dimensions.
