Please join us on Saturday, May 25th from 5 to 8pm for the opening reception of Family & Friends: A Visual Exploration at Usher Gallery in downtown Petaluma.

Family & Friends: A Visual Exploration is a joint show featuring the individual work of two young artists, Lulu Smith and Sophia Lavrov. The exhibition explores aspects of their adolescence, focusing primarily on their relationships with friends and family. The artists reflect upon their impressions of people in their past and present realities and explore the concepts of influence, shifting relationships and coming of age in a rapidly evolving world. From handling close friendships, to living independently while maintaining family relations and navigating their social lives as young women, Lulu and Sophia guide the viewer through a visual and material exploration of their experiences.

The reception will feature live music.  Wine and refreshments will be served.
