Events at Omnivore Books On Food
Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
In Gone Feral, Bay Area author Novella Carpenter—now a grown woman leading a non-traditional life, not unlike her parents’, raising livestock and growing vegetables in the city—finds herself contemplating a family of her own.
Before that can happen, she knows she has to return to Idaho to discover why her father chose a life of solitude. Carpenter is the author of Farm City and The Essential Urban Farmer.
