The Oakland Cannery Collective, seeking to preserve artist small business, live/work studio spaces and culture.
The festival, “FESTAC”, will celebrate the diversity and pride through performances, artisan “studios on the streets” and more. The festival will also launch a campaign to promote Oakland city policies that will protect our independent arts, culture, small businesses and work/live studio spaces that have been targeted.

FREE (Donations are appreciated)The event will have art exhibitions from prominent artist and meet & greet gatherings to discuss the preservation of rich culture in the face of gentrification that threatens to displace the very people and businesses that have made our City an incubator for diverse communities and livelihoods.
A celebration dedicated to artists, writers, painters, sculptors, musicians, and performers. Together with other artistic communities of Oakland, is seeking to localize policies to protect, engage, and enhance art and cultural activities, with support for community and social equity.
