Event Details

Fandor – a new online provider of exceptional independent, international and historic films – presents a free screening of seminal film classic David Holzman’s Diary at the Victoria Theatre in San Francisco. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Jim McBride.

This is the remastered release of this insightful and at times hilarious pseudo documentary, a preamble to the YouTube era decades ahead of its time. The New York Times called this must-see film a “delightful satire” and Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture) has said it’s possibly “every filmmaker’s best-kept secret influence.”
