Please join Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture and resident partners for the second annual Summer Solstice Celebration & Art Walk on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event – free and open to the public – features exhibitions, performances, artist and curator talks, and artmaking activities presented by FMCAC and its resident organizations, including SF Camerawork, Haines Gallery, FOR-SITE, Museo Italo Americano, and San Francisco Children’s Art Center. The evening will close with a sunset performance by noted Bay Area choreographer, poet, and teacher Sara Shelton Mann and New York City-based artist Jesse Zaritt. The event opens at 5:00 p.m. and features pop-up artist and curator talks across campus; one art workshop in Landmark Building C; and a culminating 8:00 p.m. performance by Sara Shelton Mann and Jesse Zaritt in Gallery 308, Landmark Building A.   • The Haines Gallery (6:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.) presents the painting exhibition, DAVID SIMPSON: Smoke & Mirrors. The opening reception happens from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Landmark Building C, first floor)
  • Fort Mason Art welcomes Sara Shelton Mann and Jesse Zaritt for their expanded duet (8:00 p.m.):

Pop-Up talks occur at each exhibition location. During the Summer Solstice Celebration & Art Walk, FMCAC resident establishments RadhausGreens Restaurant, and The Interval at Long Now offer dining and drinking options in Landmark Building A.
