LINK IN BIO The City of South San Francisco’s Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the return of its annual free Concert in the Park on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Orange Memorial Park Picnic Meadow. We will be offering a day filled with music, food, and fun for the entire family. This year’s Concert in the Park promises to be a memorable experience, featuring a dynamic performance stage, an array of activities for kids, and the return of popular vendor booths. Attendees can look forward to a wide selection of food trucks offering delicious local treats, as well as beer and wine sales to enhance the festive atmosphere. The Main Stage will feature show-stopping performances by Grammy Award-winning Ozomatli and Bay Area vocal group Livewire, ensuring a day of music and memories for the community. Families, friends, and music lovers are encouraged to mark their calendars for this exciting community event. About the Performers Since 1995, the multi-genre cultural powerhouse, Ozomatli, has blended Latin, hip-hop, funk, reggae, and global influences into an unmistakable sound that captures the city’s energy and diversity. Emerging from Los Angeles’ politically charged streets, Ozomatli has spent three decades uniting communities through music, earning three Grammy Awards, performing at the Hollywood Bowl, and touring the world from New York to Tunisia, Mongolia, and beyond. Their socially conscious lyrics and infectious grooves have made them a beacon of unity, resilience, and celebration. In June of 2025, they kicked off the 30 Revolutions Tour, a tribute to three decades of music, culture, and connection. As they continue into their fourth decade, Ozomatli stands as a living testament to the past, present, and future—moving hearts, minds, and dance floors across the globe. Active on the vibrant Bay Area music scene, Livewire delivers high-energy dance and rock covers spanning the 1970s, ’80s, and today’s modern hits. They’ve graced iconic Bay Area venues like: San Francisco City Hall, Bimbo’s 365 Club, Top of the Mark, Villa Montalvo, Burlingame Country Club, and Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. From shoulder-shaking Journey and infectious Michael Jackson grooves to Bruno Mars modern hits, their eclectic song choices ensure there’s something for every crowd goer. Do I need tickets for the Concert or activities? South San Francisco Concert in the Park is a free community event. No tickets are needed. However, there will be food and drink sales at this event. Beer and wine sales are cash only and require a valid ID. Some activities in the children area require a wavier to be signed by a parent/guardian in order to receive a free wristband to participate. When does the park open? Orange Memorial Park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. Concert festivities will begin at 11:30 a.m. Feel free to come early and enjoy Orange Memorial Park. Is there reserved seating for this event? There is no reserved seating for this event. All seating is on a first come first serve basis. All attendees should plan to bring their own chairs and blankets for sitting on the lawn. Please be mindful of your neighbors and their line of vision when setting up higher back chairs. Sunshades and tents are allowed only in the designated Canopy Zone, marked off with a chalk line and identified on the event map. They are not permitted in the general audience area to ensure everyone has a clear view of the stages. Click here for attendee guidelines. Umbrellas are not allowed as they obscure the viewing area. Securing tents – The wind can pick up, so make sure to secure your setup with weights—no stakes allowed in the ground. Is alcohol allowed at the Concert? Beer and Wine sales will be hosted by the Friends of Parks and Recreation. Cash or check only. Alcohol must remain within the event footprint at Orange Memorial Park. Can I smoke at the Concert in the Park event? Smoking of any kind is prohibited anywhere in the park as identified in chapter 8.5 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code. Are pets allowed at the event? ADA service animals that are specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are always welcomed. Emotional support and family pets are not permitted. We kindly ask that all other pets stay at home as there will be large crowds and amplified noise. Can my community group have a resource table at Concert in the Park? The 2025 Concert in the Park will include a Vendor Area. This year, the vendor area will showcase more booths that sell quality merchandise, art and handcrafted items. Other businesses and community groups can also apply but space will be limited with priority going to governmental agencies, non-profit community resource providers and local handcrafted merchandise vendors. All vendor applications are subject to an approval process. Please see the invitation for vendor booths for more information. Applications are due by Friday, July 25, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Vendor application can be found here. Where do I collect lost and found items? Please check the Parks and Recreation information booth located in the Vendor Area. All lost and found items not claimed the day of the event can be collected at the Recreation office at 901 Civic Campus Way, 3rd Floor for up to 2 weeks following the Concert in the Park. How can my organization donate to Concert in the Park? Concert in the Park is the City’s largest event of the year, welcoming over 3,000 visitors to enjoy a day of community, music, and fun to Orange Memorial Park.
