Libros Libres Oakland is hosting their first Free Book Pop Up event in the Latham Square Parklet (at Telegraph and Broadway in downtown Oakland) from 10 am to 2 pm on November 10, 2013.
Libros Libres Oakland will fill Latham Square with shelves and tables full of previously donated books. You will be free to move through the space, browsing and then selecting books you want to keep. There will be a limit of five free books per individual, beyond which you may donate books on a one-for-one basis.
They encourage you to bring book donations to the event, which will then be passed on to direct service provider organizations, or given away at future events.
