Weekends from Oct. 4 – Nov. 30, 2012, the previously vacant 24,000 square-foot lot at the corner of Mandela Parkway and West Grand has been transformed into a creative community space filled with art and commerce.

Featured events include a series of three highly interactive, large scale art installations, a Pumpkin Patch, a Pop-Up Market, featuring local artisans, DIY workshops and demos, Community Movie Night on Thursdays, local performing artists and Oakland-based food trucks.

Peralta Junction’s Another Roadside Attraction Stage will feature:

• 1:00pm Vandella
• 2:00pm Icy Hot Club is a Los Angeles-based group that plays Gypsy Jazz music in the style of Django Reinhardt. The core group consists of two guitars and upright bass, but they may also add violin, clarinet, and/or drums.
• 4:00pm Cate Warren
