Free “Crumbl” Cookie Day at Their First Ever SF Shop (Grand Opening)

Crumbl open its first San Francisco location with a free cookie giveaway on Friday, February 7, 2025.

San Francisco’s cookie lovers have reason to celebrate as Crumbl, the viral cookie chain known for its rotating menu of indulgent treats, is finally making its debut in the city. The popular bakery, which has gained nationwide fame for its oversized, gourmet cookies, will open its first San Francisco store on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Lakeshore Plaza, 1567 Sloat Boulevard.

According to their website they are open from 8am to Midnight on Friday and all you need to do to get the free chocolate chip cooking is download the Crubmle App and show their bakers their app (while supplies last, of course)

To mark the occasion, Crumbl is giving away free chocolate chip cookies to customers on opening day. The giveaway is expected to draw a crowd, as Crumbl openings have historically attracted long lines of eager fans. Those who want to secure their free treat are encouraged to reserve a spot through Eventbrite. However, it looks like you don’t need to that to claim your free cookie. According to the website,

“Celebrate the Grand Opening of our brand-new Crumbl – Lakeshore store on February 7 with a FREE chocolate chip cookie! Simply download the Crumbl App, show our bakers the app, and get your free cookie in store. Available while supplies last only at Crumbl – Lakeshore. One cookie per customer.”

The chain, which first gained traction through social media, is best known for its “Cookie of the Week” concept, where flavors change weekly to keep things fresh and exciting. This week’s featured treat, Cookies & Cream Cake featuring OREO®, leans more toward a decadent dessert than a traditional cookie, offering layers of chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting, and a drizzle of chocolate glaze.

Until now, Bay Area Crumbl enthusiasts have had to travel to locations in Berkeley, San Ramon, or Mountain View to get their cookie fix. The arrival of the San Francisco store answers months of anticipation among locals who have been waiting for the brand to open a location closer to home.
