FREE Dance Brigade Retrospective Celebration | YBCA

Celebrate 35 years of performance, from the ’70s Wallflower Order Dance Collective to what is now the Dance Brigade. The company is known for the fierce inventiveness and deft comic touch in which it explores the intersection between art and social issues.

With reprises of Great Liberation Upon Hearing and other herstorical dances by 30+ women involved in the company over the past years, they will trace the journey of what was one the nation’s first feminist dance companies through video and live performance.

Performances will be held November 18-20; Friday and Saturday 8pm, Sunday at 2pm.
