You’ve heard of kimchi, that pungent Korean staple celebrated for its bold taste and probiotic pizzazz? Here’s your chance for a front row seat to learn the art of kimchi fermentation from some of the Bay Area’s best!
Kimchi has gained immense popularity in recent years. From the pages of the New York Times to some of the country’s top culinary reads, kimchi has landed on American tables and in American kitchens from New York to San Francisco and all places in between.
Join us on Saturday, Sept. 14 in San Francisco to learn about the history and art of kimchi-making! Jee’s Kimchi founder Jee Kim and Volcano Kimchi founder Aruna Lee will guide participants through a hands-on demonstration in preparing and fermenting their own batch of hand-made kimchi to bring home along with tips for how to incorporate kimchi into every meal.
The event is part of a day-long Korean culture festival and will be hosted by major Korean broadcasting networks, MBC and Media Purme along with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in San Francisco. Spots for the workshop are limited, RSVP now.
