Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF
During the month of November 2013, Activate McCoppin is temporarily transforming the McCoppin Hub, at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets from a parking lot into a community hub.
McCoppin Hub is hosting a variety of events and art installations in an effort to offer opportunities for communities to come together, connect, share, collaborate, and have fun. This project will help determine what programming works in the McCoppin Hub prior to the improvement project slated to begin in 2014.
Want to host your own event? Come teach a class on basket weaving, play some bluegrass, or host a panel discussion. The possibilities are endless.
Come each week and watch your skills progress every Sunday throughout November with drawing lessons for all ages and levels.
Free, but an RSVP is requested.
Whether you’re an accomplished artist or have never picked up a piece of charcoal in your life, we can all learn from one another’s unique style and creativity. BYO sketchbook or paper, some drawing materials provided. If you have a picture or object you want to draw, bring it to class.
