This Halloween, come hear acclaimed pianist Frederick Hodges accompany SFPL’s screening of the classic silent horror film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Famous for its Expressionist sets, its bizarre plot twists, and its paranoid psychological atmosphere, Caligari presents an unsettling story about a mysterious hypnotist, his patient, and a series of violent murders. This free film screening takes place in the Main Library’s Latino/Hispanic Room (Lower Level).

Don’t miss this exciting evening of film and live music. Director Robert Wiene. In German with English subtitles. Live piano accompaniment by Frederick Hodges. 75 minutes.
