Free Wednesday Concert Night | Haight

The Milk Bar no longer hosts regular free Wednesday concert nights. There may still host free concerts, but not on a regular schedule.

The Milk Bar hosts their favorite bands on their weekly series, Milk Was A Bad Choice.

Each show is free with an RSVP on Eventbrite, or $5 at the door.

All shows will include live bands and a themed pop-up kitchen.

On Wednesday, May 28th, Frankie Boots & The County Line will be joined by Rivvrs, Taken By Canadians, and The Parmesans.

Free with an RSVP, or $5 at the door.

Frankie Boots And The County Line are a folk rock/Americana band roaring out of the San Francisco Bay Area with a penchant for painting vivid images of late nights, lost love, and the grittier side of life. Whether it be country, rock, blues, gospel, bluegrass, or any other true form of great American music, the band throws it all into the recipe for a dish that’s always served hot. Frankie Boots And The County Line’s captivating live performances keep a crowd jumping and their magnetic songs earned them the North Bay Bohemian’s award for best Country/Americana band in the North Bay for 2013.

Also featured:

Rivvrs is a singer/songwriter based in San Francisco, California. With an eclectic blend of folk, pop, and elements of soul, Rivvrs blurs the lines of traditional genres; often drawing comparisons to such artists as Ray Lamontagne, Jackie Greene, and Paul Simon. With a tamed rasp that hovers between a soft whisper and a booming roar, Rivvrs regularly performs around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Taken By Canadians is 4 piece Alt/Folk/Indie Rock & Roll band, with members coming from wildly different musical backgrounds. This blend of genres, mixed with a traditional, yet often off-the-cuff style of songwriting, makes for quite an interesting musical statement.

The Parmesans are a string trio from San Francisco, California. Part contemporary folk, part alternative country, sort of blues and not quite bluegrass, their music centers on vocal harmony supported by arrangements for acoustic guitar, mandolin, double bass and trumpet.
