Free Friday Night Bands on the Beach | Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Every summer Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk casts its net and drags in a host of Top 40 bands from the ’70s ’80s and early ’90s to play free concerts right on the beach every Friday night.

The concert lineup for 2010 is impressive (if you’re over 30) with formerly-huge bands, Naked Eyes, Loverboy, Eddie Money, Flock of Seagulls, Herman’s Hermits, Spin Doctors and Blue Oyster Cult (yes, of “more cowbell!!!” fame) all doing free concerts at the beach.
