“Get Free” Hip Hop Dance Festival | July 1-7
From July 1-7, 2018, Dance Mission and The Embodiment Project present the Get Free Hip Hop Dance Festival.
Get Free is a free hip hop dance festival and intensive rooted in cultural preservation, tradition and community. Attendees will participate in classes, panels, battles and showcases to elevate their art as freestyle street dancers.
There will be live music featuring DJ Raul Rj KoolRaul Navalta (Beatz n Pieces / The Muthafunkers).
Get Free Hip Hop Dance Festival Schedule:
- July 1st: 7 pm – Get Free Opening Showcase
- July 2-6th: 9 am-6 pm – Get Free Dance Intensive
- July 6th: 6 pm-9 pm – Get Free All Styles Dance Battle: 2V2
- July 7th: 8 pm – Get Free Experimental Battle: 2V2
Artists are always meant to push boundaries within themselves and within the art form. There’s no wrong way to do it and you never know where you might end up. Join in for a night of moving outside the box where an open mind, good vibes, and having fun are key.
The final round is open to audience members and begins at 8 pm.
The All Styles Dance Battle is open to all. Contestants will dance to house tracks and music performed live by MoonCandy.
