Free “Legion of Honor” Museum Day for Bay Area Residents (Every Saturday)
Every Saturday the Legion of Honor offers free general admission to the permanent galleries to Bay Area residents. Advanced tickets are required, and capacity is limited due to COVID-19 precautions.
Please note that admission to any special exhibits is not included nor discounted and will require the full admission price.
Saturdays feature engaging art experiences for the entire family, including art-making, gallery guides, and tours with discussion and sketching in the permanent galleries.

- This offer applies only to general admission for the permanent collection galleries.
- Full-priced admission to special exhibitions still applies.
- For: Residents of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma Counties with valid photo ID or postmarked envelope bearing home address

Visitors ages 17 and under always receive free admission to the permanent collection galleries.

Essential and Frontline Workers Discount
We are pleased to offer free general admission for essential workers — including emergency services, health care, grocery stores, city operations and maintenance, social services, public transit, and delivery services — to receive a $15 discount on tickets to special exhibitions, through December 2021. We invite you to the kickoff of the Legion of Honor 100. Join us to celebrate our long history of rich cultural exchange and the Bay Area’s diverse artistic communities. Experience the museum like you never have before!
This Free Saturdays at the Legion of Honor includes one-of-a-kind collaborations with local artists and organizations, including an organ concert with the SF Ballet, a sweet feast with Cake Picnic, and limited edition screenprints with ARTivate. This day also marks the launch of our new curatorial series “A Closer Look,” and special sessions of sketching in the galleries.
The Centennial Weekend Celebration, November 9–11, is part of our year-long series of free public programs and special events coinciding with the Legion of Honor 100, commemorating the history of the museum and looking forward to its next century.

All programs are free and open to the public. Entry to the permanent collection galleries and the special exhibition Mary Cassatt at Work is free. Exhibition tickets are limited, first come, first served.
