Event Details

Start your day with the super blue lunar eclipse. On Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 4-6 a.m. in the Foothill College Observatory, astronomy professor Dr. Geoff Mathews will guide you through this extraordinary event.

For the first time since 1866, a blue supermoon will coincide with a lunar eclipse, giving the moon a reddish color. Dr. Mathews will explain this rare phenomenon and what it means for the planet.

The event is free, but there is a charge of $3 for parking on campus and exact change is appreciated.
