Event Details

Have you ever picked up something you found on the sidewalk? Or saved your neighbor from throwing away something useful? A Really Really Free Market is like a potluck for whatever you want to give or take away. Have you ever brought one dish to a potluck and gone away with a full belly and a balanced meal? Everybody brings something and goes away with more. We all have skills, ideas, objects, smiles, talents, friendship, excitement, discussions, and many other things to share. A meeting place for friends and communities- the Free Market at Dolores Park takes place the last saturday of every month.

Also, special to this Free Market, the SF Free School www.sffreeschool.com will be setting up “the big blue box” featuring teachers from the school in African Dance, Yoga, Poetry, and Music- besides providing a chalkboard for spontaneous skill share announcements.

Another frequent offering at the Free Market: Recess – a gathering of New and Creative Community Games. They’ll have classics such as “Slaughter” (think rugby plus sumo wrestling all on your hands and knees) and new games such as Rolli Polli (a group race over each other’s bodies.)

The Really Really Free Market is scheduled to happen the last Saturday of every month at Dolores Park, moving to an indoor location in the winter. As this is a very DIY event, schedules and locations may change so please check www.reallyreallyfree.org for any last minute updates.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
