To honor the American Heroes, Chapel of the Chimes will host a Free Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 10:30 am.
Activities include special guest speakers, the playing of “Taps”, a wreath presentation, a salute to the armed forces, a dove release, and music by the Stuart Highlanders Pipe Band.
A complimentary lunch will also be served.
Memorial Day remembers those who died while serving our country in the Armed Forces. The practice of honoring our fallen began as Decoration Day after the Civil War when families of both Union and Confederate forces began to decorate the graves of the fallen. In 1971, Decoration Day became Memorial Day to remember all who died in service to our nation.
