You know Zipcar is for carsharing, but did you know there’s “Scoot” for scooters in San Francisco? And cute red ones too.
They’re offering up free one-way rentals (up to 18 hours) as long as you take a quick safety lesson and don’t mind a little social media pimping on their behalf. It’s basically a super cheap way to get from point a to point b like a taxi, but much much cheaper.
>> There’s a $10 signup fee the first time you do join scoot, just so you’re aware. But if you’re already a scoot member, then this ride is completely free!
How to get your free “Scoot”
1. Sign up for Scoot and come to a training session to make sure you know what you’re doing (if you’re already a member, sweet! Skip to Step 2.)
2. Rent a Scoot from one of our locations and drop it off at another Scoot spot (make sure you only drop-off where the app says there’s room.)
3. Post about your One Way ride to Facebook or Twitter and include @ScootNetworks. We’ll make the ride FREE (you won’t be charged, just keep the ride under 18 hours). Add a snazzy photo and we may even throw some bonus points your way too.
That’s it — the deal ends at midnight on Tuesday, 6/18, so get your scoot on today
