Shakespeare On Tour: “Julius Caesar”
Shakespeare‘s exciting historical tale of politics and corruption in ancient Rome contains some of his most eloquent writing.
Mark Antony’s stirring and powerful ‘Friends, Romans, countrymen’ speech, Brutus’ struggle with his conscience, and the thrilling final battle scenes have enthralled audiences for centuries. Shakespeare’s keen examination of political and personal downfalls, caused by pride, conspiracy and greed offers rich material for review and discussion.
All performances are followed by a Q&A with the cast.
The show starts at 2 pm. There’s a post show Q&A with the cast at 3 pm.
There is a complimentary hour-long Playshop scheduled after the post-show Q&A. Playshop illuminates and underscores the concepts of drama, language, and Shakespeare presented in their touring production of Julius Caesar. This participatory workshop includes games, activities and text work designed to create a greater understanding and appreciation of theater and language.
