Free Soviet Sci-Fi Film Night: ‘Kin-dza-dza’ at an Art Gallery (SF)

Submitted by the Event Organizer

A free screening of the wonderfully strange Soviet sci-fi cult classic Kin-dza-dza!

After a bizarre encounter on the streets of Moscow, two men find themselves stranded on a barren planet governed by incomprehensible customs, ridiculous status symbols, and a severe shortage of matches. Released in 1986, Georgiy Daneliya’s film is a surreal blend of science fiction, dark comedy, social satire, and existential absurdity.

Come see it on the big screen as part of our Psychedelic Film Series.
