Step into a true piece of California history at Sturgeon’s Mill, a fully operational steam-powered sawmill founded in 1914. Unlike a replica, this is an authentic working museum where the original machinery still runs today, offering a rare chance to see early 20th-century industry in action.

Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (crew breaks for lunch 12:00 PM -1:00 PM)

Watch live steam demonstrations as the mill comes to life, explore historic equipment, and learn how local lumber mills helped build Sonoma County and the greater Bay Area. Docent-led tours run throughout the day, or you can explore at your own pace.
